Our Kindergarten Program
Kindergarten provides an organized transition from home and pre-school activities into a formalized school setting. Genuine care for the individual and the development of the child socially and academically is at the heart of our program. The same philosophy and school policies which apply to all students at SGCS apply to Kindergarten.
Kindergarten is a full day program from 8:05 a.m. – 2:40 p.m.
A full program is offered following state and Archdiocesan guidelines. Included in the curriculum are:
Kindergarten students do not wear the school uniform. We ask that parents decide the proper clothing for the weather.
Birthdays and holidays are special to all children. A treat may be sent for birthdays, but please let the teacher know in advance. School classroom activities for holidays always need an extra hand. Room parents assist the teachers during these special times. Volunteers must complete VIRTUS training and the required background check.
