Update Regarding the Sports Plus Facility
A dispute between the people who OWN SportsPlus and the people who lease the basketball gym from them has not been resolved.  As a result, SportsPlus closed the gym.  They did this as of Monday, October 6th, knowing we had games scheduled that night, which were cancelled. Boosters talked to CYO first thing Tuesday, and CYO decided that we could not go week to week not knowing if we had a gym or not.  They immediately moved all our remaining games (4 weeks worth) to other gyms.  Mike Laib has ensured alternate gym locations have been secured and practices can resume next week through the rest of October.  Mike is still working on gym time for the 1-2 weeks that continue into November. All coaches have been kept in the loop. We had not planned on using SportsPlus for the boys season, so they should not be impacted.

Please contact Teri Dean or Mike Laib with any questions.

SGCS Sports Creed

Be grateful for the abilities which God has given you. Do your best, and be proud of your accomplishments.

Be a humble winner, and a gracious loser. Nobody likes a poor sport.

Be patient and forgiving of others who are new to the sport. Remember, others were patient while you were learning.

Have your priorities in order. Allow adequate time for your family, school work and worship.

Don't let your teammates down. They depend on you as much as you depend on them.

Treat your body with respect. Eat well, rest, exercise, and stay away from unhealthy, abusive substances.

Don't be arrogant when someone is trying to help you. Remember there is always someone who knows more than you do.

Always play fair. It's a measure of your integrity.
